Sammamish keeps growing up with senior living on the horizon

My first memories of Sammamish were not when we moved our family to our first home on the plateau in 1997.  It was about 20 years prior when I would (infrequently) find a way out of class at the real Sammamish High School in Bellevue and spend an afternoon fishing on Pine Lake.  To us, the pristine lake and little cabins were the wilderness.

Fast forward to today and those days are long gone. Sammamish has grown up and appears to keep heading that way with the announcement this week that Pillar Properties, sister companies to well known senior housing developer Merrill Gardens, announced a joint venture with Innovation Realty Partners to begin the first stage of development of the new Sammamish Town Center.

I know from our time in California, that a well-designed, dense and walkable town center could be really cool for Sammamish although there are certainly some downsides (traffic?) that comes with more development.  At this point, I’m excited for what’s ahead and I look forward to sharing more information with you at this project unfolds.

If you have questions or needs related to buying or selling real estate in Sammamish, please contact me at  I’d love to chat with you!
